meet the wahoo docks CAT3™ & CAT5™

For Uncompromising Beauty and Durability

The Strongest Boat Dock Money Can Buy

more aluminum & patented parts than any other types of boat docks available

Your dock purchase is a pretty big investment. Don’t settle for a lower-quality look-alike or imposter that tries to look like a Wahoo dock. Only a dock made by Wahoo and installed by a Wahoo Docks dealer is the strongest and best aluminum dock money can buy.

No other types of boat docks – or aluminum docks – you will find have the same aluminum thickness, strength, and density of a Wahoo dock. Furthermore, NONE of them will have the meticulously engineered, painstakingly designed, and PATENTED Wahoo dock components and parts. The same Engineers who founded Wahoo Docks, operate it still. And they are the ones who carefully crafted – from conception to production – every element of Wahoo’s CAT3™ and CAT5™. Both these types of boat docks share some similar features and specifications. However, the CAT5 is the clear industry leader in aluminum boat docks available today.

The CAT5™

Our CAT 5™ is the industry leader in aluminum boat docks.

It features more patented dock components, more material where it’s needed for strength and stiffness, and an all-around supreme finish that makes it feel more hand-crafted and custom than any other dock on the market.

No other aluminum floating boat dock even compares to our CAT 5 dock. If you want a top-of-the-line boat dock, our CAT 5 is the clear choice. The CAT 5 can handle severe environmental conditions.

Strongest Boat Dock Choice

The CAT5 features a beefy 9” aluminum mainframe with interlocking connections that dovetail together to provide extra strength that extends far beyond just the weld points. The 9” channel incorporates a feature that supports the decking load without relying on welds for strength. Additionally, welded corners and intermediate receivers provide integral fastening for dock roof poles. This construction gives our docks extra stiffness without having to use unsightly diagonal bracing.

We also utilize a 6″ channel in the lower frame that provides even more bracing for added strength. This ensures dock weight load is equally distributed, further minimizing stress on the weld points and creating an incredibly stiff dock structure.

Maximum Flotation

Because the CAT5 aluminum dock has more metal in its framework to create a stiffer dock, it also uses more standard dock flotation than other docks to support the extra weight and because the stiffness of the dock allows it to support the extra flotation. In addition to this additional buoyancy, the extra dock floats contribute to the dock’s unique stability and strength.

Extra Design Options

Because it’s our luxury model, this type of boat dock allows us to design some unique extras to include. For example, only on the CAT5 can you find DryJoist™ structural roofing underlay. DryJoist creates an upper deck that provides a dry below deck area that doesn’t allow water to seep through to the level below. This type of decking also allows us to overcome common design challenges, such as extended roof overhangs and very tall roofs that wouldn’t be wise – or safe – with lesser docks.
